Get a Library Card

Please visit your local branch and present a photo ID with birth date to obtain a library card.  

The first library card is issued free of charge.  The fee for a replacement card is $1.

Parents/guardians must fill out a registration card and sign for children under the age of 16.

Please inform the library circulation staff if you change your name, address, telephone number, email address, or if your card is lost or stolen.

You must have your library card with you when checking out library materials.


The library was founded in 1939as the Pike County Free Public Library. The first librarian was Miss Madison Irwin. From 1939 to 1978, the library was part of the Waverly High School. In 1978, the library was moved to North High Street in Waverly. Finally, in 1985, the library was moved to its present location at 207 North Market Street in Waverly.
